A Story of Hope!
If Your Child Dies, There is Still Hope!
She went through much suffering, many treatments, surgeries, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, colon removal, ending in tragedy a week later.
I sure do miss her a lot! Daddy's Little Girl!
We are never really prepared for the unexpected death of a loved one. Unless you have been there, it is hard to really understand what someone goes through after losing their child, no matter how old, or how it happened.
Sometimes, people will get angry and take it out on others. Some people may get angry with God, even though He truly understands. He lost a child too.
Others may get depressed and turn inward with their pain.
Busyness, may be a way for many to ease their loss, or at least to take their mind off of it.
There are some exceptions to these reactions, because there are also those that handle their pain will, pray, and go through the grieving process well.
In my opinion, the grieving process is something we each have to go through, and we have to deal with it in our own way.
I want to share some hope with you that has really helped me to deal with my loss of Crystal (Daddy's little girl).
A lot of well meaning people: friends, family, church members, counselors, psychiatrist, and others offer to the best of their abilities to console or comfort us. This may help us through some of the tough times and give us hope.
Something that really has helped me is that shortly after my daughter passed away, my wonderful wife, Glenda made a statement that stuck with me. She really missed Crystal too.
She shared with me a profound statement that Crystal is not suffering anymore, and that she is not just in my past but in my future.
You see she accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was young and had re-dedicated her life to the Lord a year or so before passing.
So, since I believe that because I am a Christian too that we will have a wonderful Reunion in heaven when I get there. She just got there ahead of me.
This statement is not meant to offend anyone that doesn't believe the way I do, but it is meant to give you a hope too see your loved one again.
This story will be continued at a later post.
